Thank you all for the wonderful good feeling messages and warm wishes.

So far covid and me have reached a kumbaya status. It is not making me feel bad, and I am feeding it antiviral drugs to encourage it to go away.

You guys are real boosts too my spirit. I am hoping there will be a time that we can rendezvous and really tell sea stories while sharing some fine Wine/Beer/Bourbon-Rum-Scotch or soda. Fielder's choice.

Sorry to hear you caught Covid, John.. we had a bout of it a month back, but really, we've had rougher head colds... A persistent cough has plagued me since but easing finally now...
This , too, will pass.. Best of luck on weathering this next spot of weather and on to your project completion!

Best wishes to you, John, on both the 'rona and your engine. I had a dose of the COVID in July after 3x vaccines. It was like an average cold for me, presumably thanks to the vaccines and probably some mild exposures over the preceding 2.3 years. Your immune system will take care of you.

Stick it out John! Just 2 more weeks and turn the corner to a much better year! Hopefully by now you're putting Covid in the rear-view mirror and ready to relax over the holidays and enjoy! Sue and I had a bout with it that was uncomfortable for a week and then lingered for a few more. We kicked it with a dose of Florida sun at just the right opportunity. Looking up to a bright future with your engine & boat ready for spring is a good thing! You'll get there!

Thank you for the inquiry.
The weather up here has been cold, snow and wet. Waiting for a weather window temps above 43 to get the bottom painted and engine installed when I haul the boat. Even though we are expecting snow, I and heading up to the boat about the 3rd to discuss the engine and explore the Seattle Boat Show. I'll be checking in at the Waggoner's Guide booth. Stop by and say Hi.

While this nasty snow has been visiting, my daughter and wife conspired to cruise the Caribbean. It was in the 80's for 6 of the 7 days. Our arrival in Miami the temp was high 50's. Even some of the locals were wearing long pants. Winter appears to last for 2 days.

Progress...
The boat took to the air as it was lifted out of the water and deposited in the yard.

The bottom got a spray down in prep for a new coat of paint. With the paint it is all about timing and weather temps. I am hoping that the forecast is right this time. The temps will be mild so the paint can dry.

My mechanic is busy, final efforts on the engine. All the bolts and nuts torqued to the proper limit.

Plan is the engine can be installed about the 11th. Fingers crossed.

My girl was dragged out of the marina as sailing in the marina “VERBOTEN”!

She held her head high slipping quietly past friends.

The crew worked gently positioning straps to lift her out of the water.

Moved into the yard she has been carefully blocked and braced in place.

Later today we meet with the paint team who will begin the work of giving here a new bottom job.
