We had many helpers and extra brain power to design the hoist inside the boat.
This was the conceptual design to build a Tram Way.
Horizontal beam with rails[ Purple line]. Two vertical posts of different height, but I eliminated the diagonal brace.
We used the same stuff from the old Generator engine removal.
See my Post #148 above.
I did my engineering to calculate the Heights of the aft 4x4 post.
The Bow's 4x4 post had to be measured on the boat.
This Hoist had to be assembled
after the Generator was on the Run Way.
____
Now a few more pictures of getting it on the boat.
Anthony, my Son-In-Law, on the left , directed the show.
Timmy, on my crew, is on the right and had the sloped ramp concept
Then down to the Run Way....
Everyone applauded that. The Yards Part was done. Now just my team.
But the original design Height was too tall. Opps..
So we have to remove the 4.5 inch Mover. That was not an easy thing. Lucky we had some Muscle Power as Genset wanted to tilt off the Mover.
Ok end of this part.
Next post I will show how we made sure our lift was steady and held the weight without tipping or collapsing.
