It is great to see that Photo Day is still going strong.

Good to see your name old friend.

Jimmy Buffett rarely plays indoors (Vegas and Paris the annual exception) and he hasn't played Montreal since the 70's but he was here last night at the MTelus. A medium size venue with many many bars to keep everyone watered during the show which was, the best Buffett concert I have ever seen

Woke up this morning and the fog was so dense we couldn't see the boat on the mooring next to us. Waited about an hour and it lifted. This is Napatree Beach viewed from Watch Hill Passage.

Was on my midsummer cruise last couple of weeks. Anchored for a few day in Edgartown's outer harbor, near Eric Clapton's yacht, Blue Guitar. He was not on board ('though we've seen him here before).

Sailing on lake Champlain aboard @dLj 's Cherubini designed Hunter 30. Beautiful day with a great captain and perfect host. The boat sailed like a rocket in around 15 knots of wind.

First time climbing a mast earlier this week. Had a good view of the approaching T storm.

A great shot missed.

I'm usually up before the dawn, onboard. Brewing the morning coffee last weekend, I glanced out through the port at 5:50 am and was stunned by the view. That very moment, the sun broke over the horizon and it was completely covered by the mainsail of this old schooner. The old sail diffused the intense hot light and the fabric and rigging were softly backlit and glowing as if on fire.

I didn't get into the cockpit soon enough and grab my camera (always under the dodger ready to go). This was the shot I did get. The biggest change was the schooner swung a bit and the rising sun leaked out below the stern spoiling the perfect vision I saw a few minutes earlier.

I can still see the shot, I missed.

Look at the antenna (stainless melts at around 4,000 degrees F). Just something to think about when you're up the mast near a t-storm
