S2 7.9 National Campionship on Lake Huron Fridays racing was a challenge, Saturday and Sunday made up for this with steady winds of 10-18.
The last evening race of the season was last week. It’s also the one race of the year where the local Maritime Museum brings out their restored 1938 Hampton One Design to compete.
While it's still Wednesday....here are a couple sunset and afterglow pics from Monday night.
A late Thursday photo, this evening was the last of the fall series races. The wind held and we had a great race, with a very nice sunset.
We all tend to collect there once the sun goes down.Love the photo of the dog by the fire!

I was pressure washing my boat Saturday in preparation for a wet sand and buff when this guy landed in the tree right next to me. He had a mouse in his talons when he first landed. I was surprised to see him in the day time and even more suprised that my roaring pressure washer did not disturb him.
Hanging out in Haleiwa Harbor this evening charging batteries and a few friends paddled by.

I was sitting out on the docks last night enjoying Docktail hour tail. This baby heron landed on this guys whips. A few minutes later the mama landed on the deck
I thought the little guy was a night heron. It's adorable to see a mother bird still cares for her young after they can leave the nest.

Maybe it is a night heron. I just assumed it was the baby because they seem to hang out together. I see them often together.
I'm giving the heron Kudos for working with what it was given.
