Hunter Vision 32 Squamish
If anyone wants to repair a freestanding mast for a hunter vision 32. I have one to give away that is broken with a clean snap at around 35 feet. Also, so anyone know if the forestay on the freestanding mast should have tension or not? Thanks for the help. Maybe we can both help each other

Should be an easy fix with a sleeve and weld. BTW, as I recall, there was not "much" tension on the forestay.

Not easy. Tapered mast, so can't get a sleeve in there very easily.... easier for me to just cut up and salvage.... which I'm beginning cutting any minute. Lol

Out of curiosity, how did it fail in the first place? The most common failure mode for a “normal” mast is failure of a shroud or chainplate. That’s not a possibility with a Vision.
