    Stuck Centerboard on a Widgeon

Hello all! I bought a widgeon this spring, and have used it several times. The centerboard gets jammed in the case if it is pulled up all the way. The only way to get it back down, is to try and stomp on the handle several times, to dislodge it and drop it again. How do I fix this problem...

    Planing in a O'Day Widgeon?

Hello all! I bought a O'Day Widgeon this spring, and have used it roughly 7 times now on three different lakes. My latest time out was on the biggest lake yet for me (Lake Sunapee, NH) and the wind was 10 knots with up to 25 knot gusts. Now my question is, can you plane in a Widgeon? I think...

    '77 Widgeon Mast Step Repair

I'm returning a '77 Widgeon to seaworthiness as the first step in a long-term restoration. After inspecting the mast step, I found some play in the raised platform (~4-6" off the keel/hull?) that supports the mast socket. I'm wondering if anyone has repaired/replaced this area of a Widgeon...

    Oday slow leak

I'm excited - this is my first post to this forum! A few years ago my parents gave me the boat I grew up sailing on - an Oday Widgeon. We took good care of her and never had too much trouble with riggings or repairs. Now, when I take her out for a few hours, inevitably I end up with a few...
