    Retrofit Question

I just bought my third sailboat. It is a Catalina 25. It has a sink, no faucet. And no stove where there once was one. With the advent of bottled water, is there any real value to having a working sink aboard? Also, I have a rail mounted propane grill. I certainly do not need to buy and...

Repairing or Replacing Origo alcohol atove

Have a Hunter 26 with the original Origo stove. In the past few weeks am getting very little flame. It is taking 3 times as long as before to boil water. -Yes I know you can't see much alcohol flame but it really doesn't get as hot as before - I did refill the pots with denatured alcohol, that...

    2-Burner alcohol stove - Cabinet

I have a 1984 Oday 28. I need to replace the 2-burner stove with a new Origo 3000 that happens to be the same dimensions. I mistakenly threw out the old metal insulating cabinet with gimbals along with the original 2-burner stove. The Origo replaces the 2-burner just fine and they sell...

    Replacing my electric stove

Hi I purchased a 1976 Catalina 27' last summer that came outfitted with a two burner electric stove. Why on earth anyone would want an electric stove on a boat of this size is beyond me. I've been looking around and from what I've read so far it looks like the easiest and cheapest option would...

    Which stoves fit in a 1984 c30?

I bought a Catalina 30 with no stove but propane lines run out to the rear lazarette. Are stove sizes fairly standard? How can I tell which ones to buy? If the gimbal widths aren't standard then how do people shim them? Thanks!
