Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson went sailing among the islands where they anchored in a little cove, on a beautiful, clear evening. They setup their boom tent, just in case, and after a satisfying meal cooked on a camp stove the two friends went to sleep on the cockpit benches.
Holmes woke Watson up in the middle of the night and said, "Watson, look up and tell me what you see."
"I see billions of stars." said the doctor, his voice filled with the wonders of the Universe.
"Very good," said the famous detective, "and what can we deduce from that?"
"Well, if many of those billions of stars are like our own Sun and even a small fraction of those have planets orbiting around them, then it would be reasonable to assume some of those planets were very similar to our own planet. From that, I would conclude that it is very likely we are not alone in this Universe."
Holmes sat up with excitement. "That is exactly the same conclusion that I came to. We can't possibly be alone out here. Because, what you can deduce from looking up and seeing billions of stars is,
someone has stolen our tent."
