I have a 1981 Hunter 33 (Cherubini). I need a new set of control cables for the throttle and shifter. Can anyone tell me the correct type and length of cable to purchase, or point me to a resource where I can look it up? Thanks in advance.

Most control cables are all the same in design. It is the ends that define what system they work on. On my Yamaha outboard, I can use any cable as long as I reuse the ends that are currently on the existing cable. The length is probably the defining factor. Also, you should think about lubing the cables. There is a youtube video showing how. It could 1) prolong the life of your cables and 2) make shifting easier.

My 1983 Hunter 37C uses Teleflex 3300 cables. I believe they are 9' long. For your H33 they maybe shorter. They are available from the SBO chandlery: https://shop.sailboatowners.com/prod.php?18192
