I've been on Tortola twice during New Years, planning to spend it on Jost Van Dyke.
We did a bare-boat charter out of Fat Hog Bay and spent New Years at Jost Van Dyke. The party ended at midnight. I’m sure the staff was home by 12:30. Back in those days I could have partied to Dawn. Now (late 70’s) I’d be home in bed before the new year toast.

I've much to learn about this area of the world....

I just turned 68 a couple days before Christmas. The not being able to party til dawn happens well before your 70's.... (in my case anyway) And then when you do try - man is recuperation noteworthy!

DLJ, been following since the start. Envious!

If you happen to like flavorful hot sauce (hot but has flavor and texture over the hot), I can recommend "Erica's Country Style Pepper Sauce". We found it plentiful in both restaurants and grocery stores when sailing a few years ago between Grenada and St Vincent. Last month had a client of mine get married in St Lucia and I put in an order. Unfortunately, they looked but could not find that specific product. I'm not sure if "Erica" retired and it's no longer available or if it is only available on St Vincent now. Should you find that specific product, I would love to have some and can work out details to have as much as a case of bottles shipped to me - It's that good! I only brought two bottles back with me and it's long gone, but not forgotten.

Is this a euphemism? The picture added to, not lessened, the intrigue.:)
I was just surprised by the use of the term "low-key" in relation to a street party. I liked the idea of going to a street "slumber" party, only without the truth-OR-dare. And now-a-days, my key only works in low.

You can assign whatever meaning you're comfortable with. I don't know how your mind works. There're no judgements here.

When I arrive, I'll see what I can find. If successful, I'll send you a PM....

At some point they may begin to smell land.. Suspect landfall will be in the next 14 hours They still need to cruise around to the west side of the island.
