Belliure 41 Back in the Chesapeake
Today we set sail from Seixal Portugal heading to the Algarve. I'm going to get some rigging work done in preparation to cross back over using the southern trade winds. As soon as the rigging work is done I'll head to the Canaries and prepare for the milk run.

As a side note, I had a chat with Dave while he was in Lisbon. He said that sailing is a great way to take off weight. I sad what, money from your pocket book? He said no.. He had been eating Vegetarian and had lost weight. Had to put 3 new holes in his belt to keep his pants on.

I am guessing it might be the lack of  on the boat.

We seem to be pretty stocked up at the moment. Also found a bunch of homemade aperitifs made by an older Portuguese lady, all I can say is she sure has practiced well!

It feels like there are songs or a fables about a lady selling/giving "the Devils Brew":yikes: to an unsuspecting sailor...

Then you see dolphins swimming around the boat... but you can't take a picture of them...

Just thoughts.
The Odessey, by Homer...
Hotel California by the Eagles...
Brandy by Looking Glass..
OR lastly a poem by Langston Hughes:
"The Weary Blues,"
"How still,
How strangely still
The water is today,
It is not good
For water
To be so still that way."

Left early this morning to head down to Cabo Saint Vincente. We think we found a sheltered anchorage for tonight then tomorrow we'll swing around into the Algarve going to Portimeo for a rigging revision/preparation for the Milk run crossing
