Possibly wrong boat, but dreaming.

Get that bolt cleaned, take more photos - then we can see what we are looking at. The nut looks good - it is inconsistent with the appearance of the bolt.

Looks to me like it's a gonner, but I'm not sure why it's just that one and the other ones are perfectly shiny and new on the outside. Due to the design of the bilge, it could be that this one was exposed to much more water over its life. Well, how much is this going to cost me?

Why isn't the nut corroded, only the top section of that stud? If it were sitting in water and that was causing it - then that nut should also show corrosion - get to all cleaned up and free of corrosion product - then it may be easier to tell what's going on. That whole thing needs to be shinny clean. Can you get a wire brush in there?

That was about an hours worth of scraping and scrubbing with a brush. You can't really see it on the picture but I can feel huge divots in the bolt profile with jagged pieces of metal (what's left of the threads,) next to them. I think that is what's left of the stud. I can keep trying to go at it, but the giant gouges or pits keep getting deeper.
