two inch drop will do fine which is what I worked with and yu are one of the few to mention bunk clearance which should not be an issue sir.

Crazy Dave asked me to measure the drop in my trailer hitch. From the ground to the middle of the ball is 18.5 inches. The amount of drop you need will be determined by the height of your hitch receiver. I drive a 2008 Ford Expedition. My trailer rides pretty dang level.
