Depending on the finish, I've also had really good luck with engine de-greaser. I had a piece of wood that was filthy with age, grease and grime, etc. -- non-boat project that I doused with engine de-greaser on a whim. It removed all of the grime, etc as well as the finish. Which was great for me. The original finish was most likely tongue oil and varnish.

A multi oscillating tool with a straight blade attachment may help. It was super helpful when I removed a deck mounted skylight on my boat. The triangular sanding attachment was also helpful after removing the bulk area of old sealant with the blade.. No doubt, saved hours of hand scraping & sanding.

I have mineral spirits so might try that first. Just curious, if you get the debond on wood, does it dry out enough that you can reseal it? I have some teak trim that some pieces have broken off and some are still sealed hard. Would love to get the remaining pieces off to varnish and put them back on.
I cannot answer that. I have never removed teak from a boat. The only thing I've used Debond on is winches, hatches and deck hardware to clean and either rebed or install new winched. Regarding trying mineral spirits first, the mineral spirits are used to remove butyl off of hardware before remounting with Marine Grade Bedit Butyl tape. The Debond is to remove items that have been mounted with 3M 5200 and other similar products.
