Replaced head and all hoses. Hoses are 1 1/2 inch New Shields Sanitation hose with flat interior. Had to heat up with hot water to get over some fittings. Used stainless clamps. Most connections leak.. What am I doing wrong?

Have any of you had a head back fill with black water from the tank while underway? The tank was relatively empty so this is surprising. Super fun to clean up after a few upwind legs too. Maybe open or close a valve somewhere to stop suction or something? Thanks!
