I decided to wait until the next day to do the last two sections of the rub rail but wanted to get a jump on getting the rubber insert in.

The rub rail attachement went slow but the first 20 foot section went really well.

I used a hair dryer to heat the rub rail around the bow of the boat. I had to be patient, but it worked really well and did not heat the boat itself.

I started on the other side of the boat adding the new rub rail. I had the rub rail stretched out and wieghted down upstairs for a couple of days, but you can see the rigid PVC still wants to stay coiled.

The accent stripe really came out well. It was a lot of sanding and work but I was very pleased.

I left a space in the accent stripe to add the name Recess. I was very happy that the wife agreed to have it a custom vinyl letters.

I did three coats of Oyster White Perfection paint on the accent stripe.

All the angles were measured so that both sides of the boat would match.

After allowing the red to cure it was time to create the accent stripe. By this time I have got really good at applying painter's tape.

Heading two hours back home. Two days on the yard after they lifted the boat off the trailer for just $175, can't beat that.

Finished the sanding and sealing of the swing keel and attaching the new line for raising and lowering the center board.

After all the glassing was done, applied marine two part putty and sanded it down to a nice shape and sealed it.
