They open and are roomy enough for pots and pans.

we carpeted the rear berth and added futon matress. In AZ we do not have an issue with mold with 8% - 10% humidity.

Sitting in the slip in November on Lake Michigan, clearly it's not popular to be in the slips into november but I stretch the season...

We installed a stereo system and built mounting cabinets to fit inside the liner. The stainless steel storage bin is a bread box from IKEA that is mounted to the wall. We used velcro to hold the lid closed. This provides storage for our pots and pans. We placed beach bags, velcroed in place. They provide storage and a nice bag to go ashore with if needed.

We did not like the head door so we replaced it with a curtain and a bar that pivots out. When in a closed position it attaches to the forward headboard with a locking hook. When swung open it provides privacy for the V berth or while changing. It is a lot easier to move around than fighting with the head door.

We mounted the seat back cushion by using door thresholds mounted to 1x2 oak. Another door threshold is mounted to the seat back and they interlock. This holds the seat back tight but allows for easily removal.

This is the port side seat. We split the posrt side seating hung the backrest on the wall. This was much more comfortable and kepth everything ater a day of sailing.(pics of the mounting are included.)

We added a counter top, installed a stainless steel sink and repositioned it to the starboard side. To make it all fit we removed and replaced the headboard with Oak veneer to replace the mirror. The circle bins are magnetic and store dry goods.

View of galley from above. With the stove storage area this opens up room for quick lunches and serving.

We installed laminiate flooring. We wanted an area to store the stove so we decided to split the port side seating. This gave us room to add the stove storage box which doubles as an arm rest. It can be removed and the cushion inserted to refill the area for sleeping if required.

we finished the cabin. We wanted a cabin area that was dressed up but still it practical for day sailing. Generally we do not have more than 4 aboard so this layout works great. The seat cushions bottoms are plywood, vinyl coated and are attached with stainless piano hinges. The cushions are doubled up by using the foam we recylced from the rear berth. This allowed us to cut out additional storage under the seats. We placed LED lighting, with controls at each light, througout the cabin.
