I just now looked at your profile carefully. Watch the moon's shadow from Moon Shadow. It's a no-brainer.
You're welcome.
And for the trifecta, do it while playing the Cat Stevens song.
Duh, now why didn't I think of that. We will go for the trifecta!

I listened to Holst's "Mars" onboard today. I rethought my thinking. As much as I love the movement, I really don't want anything else distracting from the eclipse. My final answer is no music during the eclipse. I'm actually surprised at myself.

Good point, Kermit. Maybe play "Silence is Golden" instead? I'll be "down the shore" in Bethany for the eclipse. I'm counting the days. Let's see... that's five from this hand and three from the other.

BREAKING NEWS - (key dramatic music)
The eclipse of 8/21/17 has be cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. The Sun's people did not meet with the Moon's people for scheduling, Because of this, the Moon and Sun mutually agreed that the Moon's conjunction with the sun was just not possible. Tensions flared on the Sun as the solar spots were aligning for this momentous occasion. Rarely do the Sun Spots get to see the third planet vanish behind an insignificant rock. Rumor that the Sun and Moon were renegotiate is spreading.

BREAKING NEWS - (key additional dramatic music)
Man In The Moon declares the negotiations are still on and a mutual outcome is pending. The Sun appears to have agreed to be blocked for a specific period of time. The Moon on the other hand will compensate to the People of the Northern Earth additional light time. However, the Sun has not agreed to this compensation.

Stay tuned to this Network for any breaking news!

I just got my order of eclipse stamps! If you put your finger on the moon it lightens so you can see details. Seriously. When I first opened the package all the moons were showing. As it turns out it was because its hot outside today in South Carolina. They've all turned dark again in the air conditioning. Way cool!
From where I sit, those look like little tarts, or moon pies...

Vanilla, chocolate, or (my favorite) banana? And did you remember the RC cola?

Got all three! Dangit, though. I forgot the RC. But my wife bought Sun Chips.

Sun Chips!?!? You mixin' HEALTH FOOD with Moon Pies, boy?!?!
They cancel each other out. Eating them together is like eating lettuce. No fat, no calories. No harm no foul.

Damn, if I'd known that, I wouldn't have stopped eating Moon Pies 45 years ago. (Though I did grab a banana one last summer when I was back in NC.)

Just learned there are going to be 1200 close friends joining me at the winery for eclipse day. Weather man is promising a cloudy morning. May start early with the wine tasting.

It must be 5:30 somewhere.
