And - if you have an inverter be sure the 12 volt power back to it is also turned off. A lot of people don't know that when you have your inverter turned on you are back feeding your 110v input and finding out can be shocking,....![]()

I'm thinking of converting to the Smart Plug system too. I only worry, whether my old "sockets" are of the same size, screw positions etc., as the new ones for the Smart Plug. Is this a standard socket and thus a hassle free and simple bolt-on solution, or will I have the chance to run in to cutting drilling and fiddling new cut outs?
My boat is a 1999 Hunter 410 and here is the pic of the actual sockets:
