Nice... "...ette" implies female... might be redundant but I still think it sounds nice. How about "Rosette"

This day and age you have to be sure.Nice... "...ette" implies female... might be redundant but I still think it sounds nice.
I like it...I think aqua vitae in latin is distilled spirits or "Water of Life." Seems like a good name for a boat.
And when the CG asks you to spell it, for the hundredth time, it won't sound so nice. At least with my boat's name, they don't ask me to spell it, but I'm sure they get the spelling wrong all the time.I've been toying with... currus maritimus
They might just as well have named the boat "May Day."I overheard the Canadian CG responding to a vessel's call on ch 16 asking if there was a need for assistance. Once it was ascertained that the vessel was indeed okay the CG requested that the skipper call them immediately by cell phone. I would have loved to been able to listen in on that discussion.
Oh, the name of the vessel was "Going Overboard".
The Admiral and I are struggling with what to rename our boat. Many of our ideas have incorporated, either explicitly or indirectly, the manufacturer (Island, Freedom, Wind, etc. Hunter; or Diana, Artemis, etc.). Too plain, in most cases.... (thought that "S. Thompson" might get a chuckle or two, but most people would miss the reference)...
Yeah, the name almost certainly no longer conjures images of wind driven snow and the world's highest mountain..... Hillary is also off my list
Rose BudMy wife named our Catalina 250 "Compass Rose" and I like that but what should the dinghy's name be? It is amazing how few people know what a compass rose is! Chief

Ok...SCHWWWWINNNG...in the Spring!Oh, definitely Wayne's World. Stop thinking about it and do it.
