1. It's actually an employment scheme for veterans. I actually applaud both fronts of this scheme.
2. They may be barking up the wrong tree if they expect a warm reception from boaters, but I suspect that their goal is to employ unemployed veterans to police the marinas, not seek volunteers. I imagine the volunteering they expect to find is private and public marinas who will welcome their employees to do this policing.
3..I have to say, it seems like they have found a formula that is a little harder to object to. Maybe if our government wasn't so interested in pushing amnesty on us so that cheap labor can continue to flood the border, our veterans might find work so they wouldn't be available to hassle boaters.
1. I agree with the concept of helping veterans. I disagree with hassling boaters, who are NOT the problem of trash in the water.
2. We have enough "policing" these days. Who's watching your emails these days?
3. Amnesty of illegals has nothing to do with these issues. Braceros in California, for example, have been here for a long, long time. Cheap labor is the goal of all unregulated capitalists. And has been since it was invented. What I suggest is you get your congress-critter to lift the stupid sequester. That'd help a lot of poeple out, and maybe get the 4th of July fireworks back.Care to mention a "jobs" bill that has actually passed Congress (that's the House of Representatives BTW, who pass the $$ legislation, the ONLY ones who can do that).
Back to sailing...
I think you hit a key word here, "scheme". Pretty sad when people would use unemployed veterans to push their feel good nazi agenda, that's the liberal way....It's actually an employment scheme for veterans.
