Nah, like me they get old and crusty...........When you guys start throwing "Ex-Wives" in to a bet pool it is going to be difficult to decide a winner.
Pictures would be a tie breaker.
The original pump has in inlet strainer and I have to bet that @Rjm st.petersburg replaced it with likePumps have limited energy input.
You consume it by PULL and PUSH
So remove that Discharge Filter[Push] and save it for the LIFT[Pull]
Jim...
Of course, NO LIFT energyWith the new filter in place, it works fine out of the bucket. [the confusion]
That's how I do it in and out. I felt more satisfied with the whole project once I scrubbed out the tank.It does have a 10" filter. It was already existing when I bought the boat. It does not impede the volume or pressure when the source is the bucket. I am looking at also filtering the water on the hose as it fills the tank once this problem is solved.
I blew air through the connection and into the tank. I did use a wire tie as well. If I can't get the pick up tube out tomorrow, I'll try #12 stranded copper wire down it.try with a long wire tie. It will not kink making the bend
