It also seems like a great cruiser's provision.

I'm sure it could be. I happen to prefer canned tuna, sardines, red salmon of which I have a rather ample supply of on board.

But at this point, we are still on fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and I just started four types of sprouts which will be ready in 3 to 5 days. We will have fresh fruit quite possibly the entire trip. Some fresh vegetables will be done in a couple more days. However we will move to winter squash dishes with fresh squash. Our tomatoes are also holding up pretty well as are our potatoes. Onions, garlic, ginger and that sort tend to last a long time.

We had fresh blueberries, milk and Muesli this morning at breakfast and will have enough blueberries for the next 2 or 3 days.

We rotate our daily menu's with our eyes on what we need to finish up. Yesterday we had two avocados that needed eating so we had guacamole - very yummy.

As time progresses, baking will begin happening...

Food on board here is kind of a priority....

Keep posting things like that and you'll never have trouble finding crew.

Here's this morning's update:

@kappykaplan It's really awesome that you post these updates. I really appreciate it, just a FYI... I must say, I've no idea how you do it... How do you get the data?

In 10 minutes I take my position for my log book and send to John and JIm. But here's the coordinates right this moment...
14 10.528 N4
033 04.580 W

Wind is being fluky but enough to keep us up above 5 knots, we must have a current going with us. There's not enough wind to make that speed.

As there was lots of talk about food. We just finished lunch. Fresh salad with fresh lettuce, onions, peppers, green beans, tofu, Iberian cheese, homemade croutons, tuna (canned) and Beets (not fresh). Fresh squeezed lemon, basil, olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing. Really quite tasty. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the suggestion that I should be eating SPAM....

Compare to an Oscar Mayer hotdogs:
"Ingredients. Mechanically Separated Turkey, Mechanically Separated Chicken, Pork, Water, Contains Less than 2% of Distilled White Vinegar, Dextrose, Salt, Corn Syrup, Cultured Celery Juice (Ingredients Used to Support Quality), Sodium Phosphate, Cherry Powder, Flavor.“
What's in an Oscar Mayer hotdog?

@Will Gilmore I think you are going to have to invite me to a dinner where you are using SPAM. One that you consider delicious. I'm totally open to all culinary delights.

Interesting you compare to hotdogs. Just a FYI, there are none of those on board either.... But I have to say, I love the "Cherry Powder Flavor" at the end. Do we even know what that really is?????

We just had made from scratch fresh curry with rice for lunch. It was delicious. 0 artificial ingredients.
