I'm sure it was the trampoline's faultshe found that she couldn't just lay on the tramp and look pretty
My admiral fell off the back of our beach cat after having a bit too much wine. A buddy said "I'm glad you brought her. She's entertaining."I already upgraded the ground tackle. I went from an 8# anchor to a 14# anchor, and increased the chain from 5ft to 10ft. The 8# anchor is now the lunch hook, and the chain will most likely be changed out for 30 ft of 1/4"BB in the future.
My big project is the electrical system.
I'm hoping the "Admiral" likes the boat. She stopped sailing with me on the beach cat years ago because she found that she couldn't just lay on the tramp and look pretty
Ouch! that just hurts to read. Sorry to hear the day didn't go well.Needless to say, Mistress's centerboard is now ~12" shorter since I had to cut it to get it unjammed.
You'll find it very helpful when the boom is outside the cockpit. I never realized how much it helped with sail shape until I sailed a boat that didn't have one (Hobie-18).Bought a boom vang. I've never used one before.
Me too, on both counts. Those Selden blocks will be my new boom vang, main and jib halyards and DB line will run through the deck organizers and clutches, that over-the-top lead block so the DB line doesn't cut into my newly-repaired fiberglass, and the 2 Ronstan with soft shackle blocks will attach to my rear deck cleats to run my spinnaker sheets through (and then back to the winches)...Bought a boom vang. Besides the low initial investment, having projects is one of the main reasons some of us buy old boats. Sure, I'd rather be sailing than working on it but when I can't sail projects allow me to still be "messing about in boats."Me too, on both counts. I do love having boat projects
I believe it is a C, 1993. Or an S. Or both? You'll find it very helpful when the boom is outside the cockpit. I never realized how much it helped with sail shape until I sailed a boat that didn't have one (Hobie-18).
Semper Fi.
btw. What model is your Mac-26?
Indeed a 1993 would be both a C and an S. The "C" indicates that it is the "Classic" design (as opposed to the powersailor) and the "S" indicates the "Swing" centerboard as opposed to the "Daggerboard" which would be the "D" model.I believe it is a C, 1993. Or an S. Or both?

What exactly is a daggerboard? My keel drops down when I release the cleated line inside the cabin.Indeed a 1993 would be both a C and an S.
