Did some exploring around Spider Island. Some interesting rock formations and tight one boat anchorages here.

Pruth Bay was the next stop. This is the home base of the Hakai Marine Institute.

July 26 we moved to Green Island Anchorage. Weather was poor, low ceiling, heavy rain showers etc. A Cessna Caravan crashed on Addenbroke Island and we had an escort of Orca. We are in Port McNeill for a few days to pick up our Granddaughter and Greatgranddaughter for a week in the Broughtons. Getting caught up on a little boat work, oil change, replace kill switch and return spring, wash boat, laundry etc. ( and I thought I was on holidays )

We are back in Comox today. Our second set of guests about to depart. Tomorrow we’ll head further South to meet up with Blue Moon, our travelling companions from last summer. So far this summers trip has covered more than 1700 miles to visit a park 365 miles from home. Lots of side trips to explore.

Arrived back home August 30. The last couple of weeks of the trip have been pretty interesting. Met a couple from Switzerland in a Onvi 455 on a 13 year coastal cruising circumnavigation. Only 1 passage with two nights at sea( Arabia to India) and a one overnight between Singapore and Japan. All the rest was just coastal.
Spent a couple of days at Taku in Harriet Bay with my old high school buddy then on to Comox to visit Bev’s high school friend. Once again( 3rd year) we missed @Captn Scotty. On to Nanaimo for a visit with Bev’s brother and sister-in-law.
Text message to S/V Griffin resulted in a meet in Clam Bay, Thetis Island where we found old friend Allan Denis. A good visit where we heard all about the Catalina Rendezvous at Roche Harbour. Allan showed off his new “soft shackles “ that he learned how to make from @jssailem at the rendezvous.
A quick motor to Lyall Harbour and we got to spend a couple of days with S/V Blue Moon and crew who were our “buddy boat” during half of last year’s circumnavigation of Vancouver Island. A great ending to a great trip!
