CO data sheet

Ross I read the CO data sheet and failed to read anything regarding CO and it's relationship in weight to air. Perhaps I too am wrong but I've always been told it's heavier than air. Mike

Mike, CO, O2 and N2 are so close to the same

weight that only a slight amount of turbulance will keep them mixed just as it does with atmospheric CO2. The concentration of CO needed to kill a person is quite small. We have had reports of people poisoned while running with a following wind. I have been aware of CO poisonings ever since I was a child and homes were heated with coal.

Swim platforms too

Ross another dangerous place in under a swim platform with an engine running. Catamarans are in the same league as like a swim platform they both trap the CO under the boat. A number of children have been lost as a result. Mike

Mike as I mentioned in an eariler post

skateboarding behind a car could yield the same results. Sometimes it is just a matter of cleansing the gene pool.

Sticker Shock

Fred, and other Washington boaters, Gary said he received this 'new' sticker WITH the new stickers for the license, not with the renewal notice. Just in case you were thinking you were being left out. Thanks Gary, now it wont be a surprise when I get mine, if I ever do. Kitsap County seems to be a little slow. Oh, and Phil, the new spell checker is great! Ross, I like your responses, especially when Darwin is honored.

Running downwind

with the motor on. If you don't feel a wind, you're not getting ventilation. You're probably breathing some of your exhaust in the cockpit.
