I never really liked screw terminals, but they are ubiquitous, and useful. To address them I've done a little research and then recalled crimp-on ferrules for this very purpose.
They come in a huge range of sizes, and also insulated and uninsulated. The latter is best for tight spaces, as inside NMEA2000 connector housings.
There's a special kind of crimper for these, too.
I ordered a crimper with an assortment of insulated ferrules, and also an assortment of uninsulated. I'll let you know how it works out when I get them!
It seems a piece of adhesive heat shrink on the insualted ones could make a very sound and secure termination for screw terminals as you find on things like the Nolan RS-11 or the CX5003.
I was wondering if anyone else here bothers with these?
