i loved sailing with my father, he was a great teacher, by the time i was 14 i was allowed to take her out with my friends on many summer days, we did sail that vessel hard and loved it. we would ride our bikes the 25 miles to the club with lunch in bags and sail all afternoon, clean up the boat, and peddle back home.
every day
my buds and i had a fast 38' racer to play on all summer long.
we all crewed for dad whenever he was going out. he was a nice guy.
it was a different time.
back then in minnesota the driving age was 14

when i was 20, dad bought aeolus out east, he had me and my crew (my buds) bring it home to western lake erie
