aeolus is 500 miles away. today i drove 80 miles north to st clair shores to drop off two big deck sweeper gennys for maintenance at my sail maker. he has built and maintained all my sails for the last 30 years. all my sails are in killer shape, except the 3/4 oz spinnaker. my 1.5 ov chute is bullet proof and good to 40 knots of wind ( be carefull when the vessel starts to oscillate on a deep run)
we have pushed the 3/4oz past the 22 mph limit too many times. a dozen patches or more. well, here on the lakes we get a november discount. yippie!
ordered a new 3/4 oz symmetrical spinnaker. red head with blue and white panels below. i'm stoked. i have a racing asymmetrical, sure it's easier to fly however the big symmetrical is way faster, way more powerful.
thanks santa :)
