Pull out bunk

Over the years I know that I have seen plans for the modification of the main cabin bunk on at CAT 27 from a single to a double by adding a plywood sheet configuration. Now that I need to do it I can't find anything in the archives. Can I get some feed back on how anyone rigged a plywood insert that makes a good double? Thanks

Dave, I may be wrong but I think after 1984 the double {pull out} bunk became standard. With thousands of Cat 27's around maybe you could find one at the local marina and ask the owner for a look on how Catalina did it. If you don't get more help from this site, I will take some pictures and post them for you. Good luck, Jack

Just go to www.catalina27.org and on the left side go to FTP and then interior. There's a couple of pictures of a pullout bunk setup. Peter

Jack: I took Peter's advice and looked over the 27 site. My boat is a 1976 so it is a far cry from the 1984 series. If you could put your photos on the site that would be great...always like to get a many ideas as possible before "the leap of faith".....As for checking out the fleet...I live in Alaska and the active CAT 27 fleet is me...Thanks...DAVE
