I just downloaded the new Internet Explorer 7 and in one word it STINKS! First off I use my bookmarks or favorites as much as my contacts area of my cell phone. I have literally six or seven hundred favorites in folders like "message boards", "boating Links", "banking links", "weather links", "photography links" etc. Any and every good web site I use is bookmarked it's how I navigate. IE7 would not import my favorites correctly and would not work! It also kept crashing and giving me the "send error report to microsoft" message. Although it says you can import bookmarks it would not allow me to import bookmars from my main browser Mozilla! Among other things they also got rid of the menu bar at the top with File, Edit, View etc. these are tools I use constantly! To make a long story short I am not going to buy another windows machine and I'll switch to a Mac. Thank you Microsoft for forcing me into something I already knew I needed to do. If IE7 is a pre-cursor to what we can expect from Vista run, run, run away. If MS is going to re-invent the entire UI (user interface) then I'm going to learn a new UI on a Mac not a PC! I'm fed up with crashes, loading peripherals that don't work or are not recognized and having to buy virus software each year.Don't download IE7 if you know whats good for you. It took me an hour to get IE6 back up and running after removing IE7. The only reason I even keep IE6 on my machine is because for some strange reason YachtWorld does not run well on Mozilla = slow. If YachtWorld would fix their site I could delete IE6 permanently. It doesn't matter now though I've got my eyes set on that 24" iMac and my PC's days are numbered!
