What a great way to end the thread with fellow sailors who know your boat that can help and teach and better yet joining a group and having fun learning. Glad you went despite the rough weather. Sadly, South Carolina got nailed with flooding.
So today I made banner progress, the weather sure is helping! Last week whilst ditching work early in the afternoons, I got the new composite rub rails installed and faired. Today I tackled the install of the new mast step mounting block. I prepped both surfaces, wetted out the wood, applied a tube of 610 epoxy with a notched spreader and fastened it to the hull. I then used the squish out to construct a nice fillet around the entire piece. I then wet out the rest of the wood block to seal the grain, prior to applying re-inforceing tape as time allows. Pics attached.
