Any chance someone here has replaced the bilge hose from the electric bilge pump?
I recently replaced the pump and the hose is showing its age.

Will it be easy? Probably not. It's likely routed up, down and around several items. Do you have a specific question regarding replacement on your boat?

Yes, I'm hoping someone else has done it already on an O'Day 39 or 40. (Should have made that clear)
It follows a convoluted path and is either fastened or stuck.

Dig into the spaces and you'll probably find where it's hung up. Most boats are built by hand so there will be variations from boat to boat of the same year and model

I haven't fully replaced mine, although I did replace a section of it where the hose attaches to the pump on my 39. When I purchased the boat, there were two pumps float switches located in the bilge directly forward of the companionway, and two hoses that run to port through a hole, under the cabin sole and into the port aft cabin locker where they discharge. It would be tricky to access a large portion of the run, the best solution I can think of would be to utilize a messenger line pulled through by the old hose to pull a new hose through.

I replaced both bilge pump hoses on my 35. I used smooth walled flexible tubing.
