GaryMayo I would love to see pics or video of you lowering/raising the mast on your cat27. I am really leaning toward the 27 at this time. Thanks for your time.

Only for the easier towing and launching. A 27 shoal draft is going to need a 6:1 ramp to launch. Most people that I know who have the 25 love the for their room and 6-4 head clearance. Thanks, was wondering how come you recommended I get the 25 cat instead of the 27 cat. Really want the 30 but thinking the 27 maybe at edge of what is reasonable. Raising mast without A frame should make things easier. As soon as summer hits gonna hit the marina several cat 27 and cat 30 out there, hoping to get a sneak peak inside if owners let me.
Interesting boat There's one for sale in our boatyard I think it has an iron keel - not great for a trailerable But that 25 + SA/Disp ratio looks like fun And I like the fractional rig Its not a cruiser - check with the Larson's of GOB about theirs
Back in the day...I used to crew on a Mega 30. It was indeed very fast!!!shemandr said:Interesting boat There's one for sale in our boatyard I think it has an iron keel - not great for a trailerable But that 25 + SA/Disp ratio looks like fun And I like the fractional rig Its not a cruiser - check with the Larson's of GOB about theirs
