Over 11 feet according to sailboatdata.com. Google is your friendWhat would the beam measure on a Prairie 32 -027? I found something that suggested it is 8 1/2 feet? That does not sound right.
Cheers,
Brad

OMGJust got back from the St. Petersburg boat show. There is a Seaward 46 there. It is a great boat. One of the few boats that you can definitely live aboard for a long time. Best boat on a trailer that I have seen.

Where in Canada is it ? If near i may have a quick look for you
Oh yeah... it is always cheaper to buy a used boat...and it seems like September is the best time to shop for a boat...I don't know if I'm going to build one yet... the plans were only $58 and it will keep me entertained for a while so I purchased them and gave them to my wife to wrap up for my Christmas present..It has an interesting look to it. You going to build one?
A CM 30 sold a week ago for $1900 with a trailer. It was in good shape with everything. Had it listed at $4500. I would have purchased it had I known he would drop the price by more than half.
I would weigh the work and expence involved before starting a backyard project that large. This is not days or weeks, this project would be years.

Is Dano a member of this forum? Seems like a real straight shooting guy. Sent him a deposit and the bal due when I go after her.

I may take the north path, then east. The seller said that was better roads. I would like to drop the boat on the great lakes and sail for a day, so we will see. I think the prudent thing to do would be wait till I get her home and give her a through going over in the yard before I put her in the water. I think she needs bottom paint. Who knows what else.HEINZIR said:Gary, it looks like you will be going through the Minneapolis area. You are welcome to go for a sail in my Macgregor 23 Chiquita if she is in the water then. I usually launch the first part of May.
