I can't get the drum off. I don't see how or if it comes apart. I can't believe that it is not serviceable.
This lewmar 16 st winch is 35 years old. I have two of them and they are original equipment on my Hunter 34. They work fine however I could never take them apart to service them. I have lewmar 40 st which ate 35 years old as well that have four set screws on top that are removable to service. I also have lewmar evo 40st which are even easier to service.
I looked at lewmar website archives and they have nothing on this mode.
Has anyone removed the drum to service the bearings on this winch?
I have showed this winch to a number of yard technicians with no luck.
