Hi Terry.. Hopefully you are home after the bussing of Mukilteo youth to their classrooms and are wondering... Can I dream of Sun and Sail filled days during my winter break...
Well Best I can do with only a 40% possibility is say on the 13th February (2 days before your planning to untie the lines) it could be cold, clear and breezy...
Here is the image of the Pacific based on the European model for the 13th. The colors are for temps. Blue-White-Purple "about 38-10 F" Cold.... The High will be delivering chilly winds NE, out of the Frazer Gap, and across the San Juans. The Water temps are in the high 40's to low 50's. Have plenty of diesel and be sure the Wallas is in working order.
My Friend Rufus, the Farmer's Weather guy says this about the Pacific NW and Oregon..."
the models keep showing a winter event repeating itself mid-Feb., Thu Feb 13 may be the beginning.".
Take heed my fellow sailor. Time to dress for the winter not spring. Bring the sub zero sleeping bag. The one you would take to the woods in winter. Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow and suggests the promise of an early spring... But there are still 4 more weeks of winter and Mother Nature may think she has been too lenient this year.
