Ice box shelf?

Hi all,
Last fall bought a 1986 Catalina 27 (in awesome condition) but in looking at the ice box, it looks like there is a ledge that might have had some sort of a shelf to hold food or drinks above maybe a large bag of ice, the shelf would be about 14 1/2 x 23 1/4 inches in size. Does anyone know of anything like this in their icebox and if so might recomend where to get one? I checked CatalinaDirect and found nothing like what I imagine might have been there.

I have a C270, so it might be a bit different, but in mine there are plexiglass "shelves" that reside on these ledges and can be moved back and forth (if you need access below them).

A simple solution would be to cut a couple of rectangles that would fit there together. They don't need to be transparent. You may want to cut a finger hole so that you can lift them.

I use the plastic coated wire shelving for closets in the icebox, different widths available, cut to length and little plastic caps on the cut ends.

I use those in my ice chest...put a block of ice in the bottom and then the wire shelf to put the food on...keeps the food up and out of the melt water but still cold
