Looking closely, I think it has a Harken Furler on the bow.
I'm not sure the boat knew that the house was the stand on vessel as it had limited movement ability.

The storm surge is a powerful event that reshapes the land and folks lives.

@jssailem is correct. My dealership was affected by Flyod when the NC rivers rose. Rode out that hurricane on the Pamlico during the night. I think flooding will be worse. Note that. I 95 closed down due to high water in SC It may happen soon in NC

I95 is closed from Rocky Mount to north of Fayetteville, I40 around Clinton and north of Wilmington, US70 at Kinston. Roads in North Carolina are clearer than yesterday but becoming impassable again today (and for the next few) as the streams flood from the heavy rains Florence is pulling in its wake.

Damage at a marina near New Bern

New Bern is located at spot for maximum storm surge. I count...
1) 5 boats sunk
2) 2 possible small sailing craft sunk
3) One sailboat de-masted.
4) Two onlookers wondering whats next
5) 3 power boats siting on top of finger pier bollards. Middle boat not good

Note the fence pushed over in upper right. The fence tried to act as a dam to the incoming water.

The Washington Post has that picture of the New Bern marina showing the sunken boat at the end of the lift pit and the caption, “boat taking on water”.

New Bern was warned days ahead that they would face devastating storm surges and yet so many people stayed there. And then you see this nonsense - boats left tied in fixed slips and boats hauled and blocked in the flood zone. None of this is how you prepare your boat from a hurricane headed your way.
