Ok, while I am looking for a new boat I am still working like crazy on my beloved 1979 27 Hunter. 1st the weather in NJ played a cruel joke and snowed again! I had to wear my fishing boots to keep my feet dry.
1st Project: Removed the original moldy carpet from all walls to find a orange foam glued to the fiberglass. I spent 4 hrs grinding and vacuming the orange foam off of every spot. The quarter berth was more mold than foam
2nd Project: Remove teak & holly floor (pics included).
From here we are replacing the wall coverings with vinyl foam backed in a light tan. Next floor. part of me wants to redo the teak & holly with a new sheet but I am debating... maybe something lighter.
