He said "forward (head) thruhull".It looks like what you're looking for is located near the forward holding tank. You should be able to access that area?View attachment 201101View attachment 201102
What's behind the access door?
That was directed at Don s/v not the OP. I'm out of here!
Ah, sorry. That was directed at Don s/v not the OP. I'm out of here!
Hey @JamieB On my last boat it looked like the thru hull was installed into the hull, then the liner went in with a small hole over the thru hull stem. Then the valve was screwed onto the stem so that you could barely see the thru hull and not reach it.the actual seacock valve is recessed into the form
I need the loo really badlyYou want to access your forward head by going through the hull? Sounds a bit extreme to me...
This seems like it maybe the case. The sea cock for the in take is coming through but there is no way to access. Is it that I would need to access it if it's molded into the hull??Hey @JamieB On my last boat it looked like the thru hull was installed into the hull, then the liner went in with a small hole over the thru hull stem. Is this the issue on your describing on your boat? You can't see the actual thru hull?
A storage locker and a molded wooden plate that has been siliconed in place. I was thinking of cutting a hatch through. It looks like what you're looking for is located near the forward holding tank. You should be able to access that area?View attachment 201101View attachment 201102

Oh of only it were that easy. I suppose the bigger problem is owning a boatThe forward head intake is behind that access door and the forward head discharge is under the sink.
As shown in those diagrams. What's your problem.
Yes, and, in this case, it's a boat built by someone not interested in owner maintainability.Oh of only it were that easy. I suppose the bigger problem is owning a boat

Exactly. The mechanic came and said we'd have to cut a bigger hole as a lot of beneteau were built like this. I'll be trying to install some hatch so it will be easier to access in the future.Yes, and, in this case, it's a boat built by someone not interested in owner maintainability.
Ah thanks so much for the heads up. I'll give him a call. That comment was not directed at you but @Don S/V
If the boat was built in The USA at the Marion Plant SC, Give Ward Richardson a call. He is very Helpful.
Good Luck
