I wear mine while sailing and sometimes while at the dock. I also wear my seatbelt while driving. Even when just backing out of the garage. (That's more of a habit thing, though.)

Wear it from the time I get on board. Require any guests to wear them when sailing.

Same here, no pfd no sailing.
