I've had a survey performed on my H380 that I'm selling and the surveyor stated that the entire rudder sounded dead when he was percussion sounding it with a hammer (I was not within him when he sounded the rudder). I seem to recall a few years ago that there was a topic on here regarding the rudders on some Hunters and how they would not give the typical sound (sharper crack) when tapped and that it was not due to delamination of the fiberglass. Does anyone have recollection of this or am I completely out in left field? For what it's worth, there's no visual indication of cracking or water intrusion on the rudder. Thanks in advance for any inputs you can provide.
