Thought mine was a project

but good luck with your project. I just put a 27' Hunter back in the water after a couple of years of fiddling with it. I still have alot of work to do but she is useable now. I had to rebuild the engine replace a lot of wood in the cabin and I still need to re paint or gel areas of the topside. I agree with the posts that say do NOT make any major modifications. I learned that the hard way froma 16' go fast project. Sometimes the silliest little change messes the boat's integrity in serious ways. (I split the hull and sunk that boat) So stick with the original layout clean her up replace all your wiring and lines and you will have a blast and spent more money than you thought you would. But when you hit the open water and raise the sails it's a rush.

What I think

Ya know someone has really loved this boat in the past. Big ground tackle. Foot steps to clime the mast. Hatch covers. That stuff on the bow is a old roller furling rig. The sails are most likely rigged to work with it. Down below it is a mess but I see wine glass holders with matching wine glasses. I also see a lot of important things like vented loupes. What do want to bet the sea-cocks have also been upgraded? How many of you guys shut up long enough to look at that bulkhead? That boat has air conditioning. Somewhere there is a garage that has the missing parts. See if you can find them. By all means go for it. You have a good boat to start with. Shoot me an email if you want to ask any questions. rca@tx.rr.com

Yes, but Larry

Yes, but Larry you do this professionally don’t you so it’s not fair to compare what you have done to what someone else may do. Don’t you now have a private navy that’s larger then what most smaller countries have. All the best, Robert Gainer

thanks for the support

lots of nice boat pics, and good work done! That's what i'm talking about. This is too much a throw away society. I especially like the grass covered swamp thing. Takes a real dreamer/artist type to see the hidden beauty. Got a pic of it finished? I think you posted one but was too tiny to see it. Patrick. I already have a head, just what i need two toilets in my back yard. Thank you anyway.
