Hello all
Had a busy day on the boat today.

mainly worked on making a new wall panel that includes the main electrical panel.

still a lot to work on, had a snag with the am/fm radio, the bracket to hold it in place is too big and makes contact with the cockpit speaker, so I will design and make a new bracket. Still have to wire the gas fume detector(new addition) make the holes for the mast light switches, add the inverter remote switch…

I'm glad to see you getting this done. I was wondering who was going to come clean up my panel. Thanks for the offer!

For the pic of our boat, I used the line drawing from sailboat data, copied the image, printed it on transparent sticker paper, stuck it on the panel and epoxied the whole thing
I do love the end result, next I will drill holes in the mast drawing to put the switch where they relate to the boat (anchor, steaming, deck and nav)

That's a great idea for getting the picture!

Interesting idea to put the switches in the positions for the light. Mine has LEDs that light up when the light is on. I'll be interested in seeing how the switches inserted in those locations look when you're done. Very cool!

Maybe more complicated wiring, but I’ve seen LED’s used to show the lights on the boat image when in use. They get wired to a 5 switch standard breaker panel for the lights. That would be your 4 plus a spare. It will not be long before you find a purpose for the spare.

I am finally retired, but I still have to schedule time to work on the boat. Then it gets delayed, and I have to head back to the real world of my spouse, grandkids, children, animals, and family.

Life is a mixture.

Not retired, but work, kids, grandkids, running my small canvas business, and the most important is spending time with my wife
I hear you, it can get busy

You, at least, do not live 250 miles from your boat. That is better planning on your part..

Nice! redoing the electrical panel was one of the most satisfying things i did on my boat. Love the graphic of the boat.

The switches I will add are light up as well, and I am planning / shopping for led’s for the nav lights on the drawing as well.

thank you for the kind words everyone

Nice!. Initially thought that you had burned outline of the boat on the panel. Look forward to seeing final result.

Here are the updates for the panel, almost completed.
still need to wire the gas fume detector.
I need to replace or check wiring for one of the mast light switches, screw down the inverter control panel.

and do a lot of structured wiring in the back, and elsewhere as well
