Okay you guys, you inspired my other half to buy the Makita. We have a very happy camper at the end of a very productive weekend! Rita P doesn't look brand new, but she looks pretty decent for a 31-year-old!

Hey Rita, I was using mine today. Say hi to the captain for me. I hope to see you guys at our regatta in June. We are splashing on May 5th.

People are telling us we're "early" going in on May 11. The well-timed mild weekends have allowed us to get all the big stuff out of the way -- bottom paint, teak, and hull polishing. The boot stripe still looks like he!!, but with the currents in our mooring location, keeping that looking perfect seems to be a losing proposition. Hull keeps rubbing on the ball and parts of boot stripe go bye-bye.

The captain also did some major work on the A4 this winter, but there will be no celebrating until Rita P goes splash and the old girl gets put to the test in the Royal River. Stay tuned.
