Dave, thanks for posting that photo of the bow on the 23.5. This routing is something I need to fix on mine before we get it out. Whomever mounted the first fairlead on mine put it on top of the deck, and the result is definite chafing from rubbing on the drum, as well as stacking on the lower portion while deploying the sail.
I've been trying to figure out a better way to do it, that looks like it. :clap:

The best way is what I did. Face the drum forward pointed directly ant the bow rail post at the stem. Mount a block on the post. You can slide it up and down a milometer at a time to center it exactly. It will only be about a four inch run. Then run it up to a second block on the rail to run it back to the cockpit.
