i am not certain but was a full bolt--was bought for a friend so i didnt use it myself..9.5 oz. per yard and 11 oz. per yard seem to be popular weights.
zeehag-how many yards were on that 48" wide roll for $500?
Your boat didn't come with any other head sails that you could hank on? I would consider keeping you eyes out for a used one, it doesn't have to be brand new or expensive and there has to be tons of them out there that would work on your boat. Also, you will be able to sail under main alone and at least get some peace and quiet from your engine, nothing beats shutting down the engine when your sail(s) go up.I won't have a head sail because my furler is trashed, so I need to make a cover with out holes in it for the main so I can at least motor sail this summer.
not certain the measured length but was about 3 inches to 4 inches deep from the cardboard center in radius......many,many yards--more than enough to accomplish canvas work of alll kinds for a 35 ft sloop---including grabrail covers, hatch covers with drop for companionway, boom cover for mainsail, dodger, bimini, cushions for cockpit......will work for the rest of your boat canvas needs----is also called a roll by sunbrella------The prices on sailrite aren't much less than what you can get a finished one ready to go on your boat from the store on here.
By the way how long is a bolt?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0431764028&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:ITSailrite sells Sunbrella for 14 or 17 a yard, same as Bacon's.. If you got a better price, i'd like to know it. When Sailrite is at the local sailboat show they sell ends of roll for like 9 bucks a yard. There are other fabrics you can use.
