I removed my floor using a small crow bar with a wedge on one end. Try not to pry with to much force into the fiberglass floor. It was glued down with liquid nails I think. I purchased a 1/4 inch thick piece of plywood and cut it with a jigsaw.
Then epoxied the plywood on both sides (adding anti slip silca sand on the top). The reason for this was to prevent moisture entering into the wood from underneath. The one thing I would say is that there is movement in the floor so whatever material is used should allow for flex.
