C-27 Refit/Refurb

Got the forestay fastened and the furler installed. The rig is tensioned close to spec by hand... the mast is in column; no bending port or starboard at the lowers but it looks like it’s swept aft. I’ll get out the Loos gauge and fine tune everything next week. I’ll also bring a level...

I got the motor aligned to the prop shaft today! I needed to baby-sit the packing gland and adjust to make sure it didn’t get past warm.

Went on a brief motor cruise and it went really smooth. So excited to finally be on the water!

Boom-Kicker and a proper mains’l cover installed today. Still waiting on my 135 furling jib. I found a new source . Stay tuned. I hope to be sailing before September!

Good new I didn’t know ‘til today. The mains’l rig and boom still swing over my head at full haul. Nobody will be accidentally clocked by a swinging jibe

Here the Boom Kicker is as installed. Honestly it’s weird not seeing a topping lift.
